Home Ball Pit
My son was very fortunate to receive a number of gifts from friends and family on his first birthday.
It was a work colleague who had the idea of combining a paddling pool and set of light plastic balls to form a home ball pit!

Balls!
We inflated the paddling pool and filled it with balls immediately and it has stayed up ever since! Our son has found a dozen different ways to play with it, he sits in there, throws balls around the room and thankfully seems to enjoy collecting them up again.
The light weight balls are great for playing around with as they are large enough to hold and light enough to throw about without the risk of damage. Surpisingly hard to juggle though!
Our ball pit is improvised, it is literally just a cheap paddling pool with a set of balls thrown in. I guess the advantage of this is that we can always fill it with water and put it outside in summer! However you can buy specially designed tents and pools that come with a set of balls ready to tip in.
